Astley is one of the closest villages to us. Under ten minutes in the car and you are parked in town.
Getting here from Astley
From Astley village, take Higher Green Lane or Manchester Road west and drop onto the A580 or Atherleigh Way, then follow the town centre signs into Leigh. It is a genuinely short trip, usually seven to ten minutes. From Astley Green and the colliery museum side, Rindle Road and Higher Green Lane bring you the same way.
The 582 through Tyldesley and Atherton and the local Leigh services both serve Astley, and Leigh bus station is a two minute walk from the shop up Bradshawgate.
Landmarks to aim for
Coming off Atherleigh Way you will pass the Hope Carr end of town. Head for Spinning Gate and the town hall and you are on Bradshawgate. If you find yourself on the busway or heading towards Lilford Park you have overshot the centre.
Parking when you drive over
Spinning Gate car park is closest to the shop. Being this near, plenty of Astley lads just park on the side streets off Bradshawgate and walk the last minute, which is fine outside of Saturday lunchtime.
Because Astley is so close, this is where our walk in trade comes from. Chance it if you like, and if a chair is free you are in. If you want a specific barber or a Saturday slot, book it online instead.
What we can do while you are here
Three things and that is it. A men's haircut at £20, a haircut with the beard shaped to match at £23, and a kids haircut at £15. Fades, tapers and short back and sides are all included in the haircut price. The full price list is one page and nothing gets added at the till. Remember we only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
