Men's Haircut and Beard in Leigh

A haircut and beard together is £23 and takes 55 mins. It is the same haircut as our £20 men's haircut, with your beard shaped in the same sitting so the two actually work together.

Why do both at once

A beard and a haircut are one shape, not two. If the sides of your hair are taken tight and the beard is left heavy, your head looks top light and bottom heavy. Cut them in the same appointment and your barber can balance the weight properly, match the sideburns into the beard, and set the whole outline in one go.

The beard part

We start with where the lines should sit on your face, not where they happen to be now. The cheek line goes just under the natural growth so the beard looks like yours rather than a shape drawn on. The neckline goes above the Adam's apple, curved to follow your jaw, so you get a beard and not a chinstrap.

Length comes down with clippers or scissors depending on how much is coming off, then the edges are cleaned up so the line holds for longer than anything you can do at home. If your cheeks grow in thin, we leave more length elsewhere so it reads full from the front. If you are growing it out, say so and we will trim to protect the shape you are working towards.

The haircut part

Anything you want. A fade, a taper, a short back and sides or a scissor cut are all included, because they are cutting styles rather than separate services. Bring a photo if you have one. We will tell you straight if it will not sit right with your hair and suggest something that will.

We are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday only, and this is the longest appointment we do, so it is worth booking rather than chancing a walk in. Book online or ring the shop.
