Getting here from Atherton

From Atherton town centre, head south on Bolton Old Road and pick up the A579 Leigh Road. Straight down past Howe Bridge and Atherleigh Way brings you into Leigh at the Hope Carr end. Bradshawgate is signposted from the ring road. On a normal weekday it is eight to twelve minutes door to door, a little longer at half four when Atherleigh Way backs up.

On the bus, the 582 and the 590 both run from Atherton to Leigh bus station through the day. The bus station is a two minute walk from the shop, straight up Bradshawgate. If you are coming after work you can be sat in the chair inside twenty minutes of leaving Atherton.

Landmarks to aim for

If you know Leigh at all, aim for Spinning Gate shopping centre. We are on Bradshawgate a short walk from it, on the same stretch as the town's bars and takeaways. Leigh Town Hall and the old library building are the other easy markers. If you have passed Leigh Sports Village you have gone too far south.

Parking when you drive over

Spinning Gate car park is the easiest option and it is a couple of minutes from the door. There are side streets off Bradshawgate with on street bays that are usually free of an evening. If you are coming Saturday morning, allow ten minutes for parking rather than five, because the town centre fills up.

Why come this far when Atherton has barbers of its own? Because we book proper time slots. A haircut here gets forty minutes and a cut with the beard gets fifty five. If you have had enough of a ten minute cut and a queue on a plastic chair, the drive down the A579 is worth it. Just remember we only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
